Biography:
Hekimhan was graduated from the Photography Department at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 1986 and received his master degree from the same university.
Started his professional photography life in 1985, he initiated to concentrate advertising photography after creating his own studio in 1991. He served as full-time lecturer in the Photography Department at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University while being part-time lecturer in the Faculty of Art and Design at Yıldız Technical University.
Moving to Canada in 2010 Abdullah Hekimhan worked in local, foreign and multinational advertising agencies and took part in the promotional activities of various institutions. He attended to mixed photo exhibitions in several Turkish cities and conducted seminars at universities and professional organizations. He became a member of Association of Professional Advertising Photographers (PTFD), Canadian Freelance Union, Professional Photographers of Canada, Professional Photographers of British Columbia and Professional Photographers of America.
Along with advertising photography, he produces personal projects in the fields of photographic art and documentary.
Born in İstanbul, Abdullah Hekimhan still continues his works and life in Canada and Turkey.

Roads… in where lives, hopes and dreams flow, and sometimes end, the rendezvous awaited, patient, impatient, sometimes lightened, sometimes dark, noisy and crowded, sometimes deserted and silent migration routes… Roads; always magical rivers…
These photos were taken at the western coast of the States throughout California, Oregon, Washington and Nevada states while dreaming about catching the prior rendezvous during a journey from Mexico-Tijuana border gate in the south to Canada-Vancouver border in the north.
