Biography:
Fusun Taş: For many years, she kept herself busy with several branches of art amateurishly. It was the characters and the inner reflections of the fictions in her stories that led her, the artist whose essential passion has always been writing, to photography just about 5 years ago. She worked on many photography projects with the community of “Yaşamak Lazım (To Live Is a Must)”. She played an important part in a variety of magazines and newspapers as a columnist not only with her interviews, but also with her stories and photographs.
Originating from the book of A Room of One’s Own by Virginia Woolf, the photography and installation exhibition they have carried through as a group is a different kind of work based on the triplet of woman, literature and photograph. The last project Suitcase is a love immigration photography project on which the photographs are drawned out about love and the project is based on the true life stories of the foreigners who have come to our country for the pursuit of love. She works with Burak Matpan on this project.

For many years, he expressed himself by writing poems, but later on, when he got into the art of photography, he realized that feelings could be expressed through eyes as well. It is three years now since he first pressed the shutter and got into the art of photography. He participated in the “Virginia Woolf – A Room of One’s Own” project, which was one of the projects coordinated by the photography community “Yaşamak Lazım (To Live Is a Must)”, as a photographer as well. After that, he worked for a local magazine, providing them with photographs and interviews with people. Considering that it has not yet been a long time since he first started shutter bugging, he has decided on chasing this passion of his, for it has taught him to look at things from a different point of view and also decided on improving himself getting several varied training.

The only kind of immigration about which people might feel over-zealous rather than doing it with great reluctance is, perhaps, the Immigration for Love. While traveling around the world (maybe for business purposes, maybe with the intent of discovering the world through immersive educational travel, or perhaps only because of touristic purposes), it is likely that people fall in love and make some decisions that could entirely change the way of their lives. And this is what our project is all about: To listen to the people who have emigrated from their countries to start a new life with their beloved ones in a brand new country, and to try to touch their immigration both by photographing them and writing about them.
