Haluk Çobanoğlu - ProfilBiography:
Haluk Çobanoğlu worked as an assistant in the editorial departments of ICP (International Center of Photography) and Black Star News Agency in New York, USA. He has published his documentary entitled “Kuşbazlar” in 1997 as a calendar and in 1999 postcard album.

Starting from 2002 he produced photo interviews for National Geographic Turkey and National Geographic Greece magazines. He worked as a photography editor for the National Geographic Turkey magazine. In September 2003 he published his book entitled New York Subway (Yeraltında Bir Dünya Şehri; New York Metrosu – A World City Underground – New York Metro). In 2007, he opened his exhibition entitled “Arabesk”, which was a documentary project that he worked on for ten years, at Fotoğrafevi in Istanbul and published its book.

Between 2007 – 2011 he has taken photographs for the books entitled “Çanakkale Şehitlikleri” (Martyrdoms in Dardanelles), “Istanbul: Bir Kent Tarihi” (Istanbul: An Urban History) and “Sinan”, which were written by various authors and published by Turkiye İş Bank Cultural Publications.

He worked as a consultant and editor for the photography albums “Vefa” (Fidelity), “Hayali Şehir” (Imaginary City) and “Ermeniler” (Armanians), which were published in recent years.

For about ten years he is giving lectures at Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Communication Photography/Video and New Media departments.
