Biography:
Murat Yılmaz was born in 1983 in İzmir. He got his bachelor degree in Gazi University.
Being active in all parts of photography, Yılmaz defines photograph as showing the invisible.
Yılmaz still provides freelance and full-time services to architecture and engineering companies in 3D modeling, visualization and architecture photography.

That long narrow street where my childhood passed and good people live. Those old doors and knobs. Doorframes with fine work. Those were not done commonly at random. All had their meanings and the dates were generally starting with one thousand eight hundred. Just as many doors in the roads of İzmir. Doors are nowadays where met urban transformation, immigration start and finish.
My childhood passed in an area in Bornova called Tarlabaşı. It was a place where there used to be vineyards. It was a neighborhood where incoming immigrants settle in the outgoing immigrants. We too came here from a mountain village of Bornova.
With this photo I collected from the roads of Smyrna, I tried to re-describe the road where my childhood passed.
