Kazakh Turks, which are estimated about 10,000 and 15,000 as population, started to come to Turkey for the first time at the end of 1952.

Turkish immigrants applied to Turkey in different times. USA declared that it would accept these people. However Turkish immigrants refused this invitation announcing that they intend to go near their brothers in Turkey. Adnan Menderes, through Yahya Kemal Beyatlı that was an attaché in Pakistan, sent and invitation to Middle Asian Turks and they were settled in Zeytinburnu.

This Turkish community, they were, in Middle Asia, making their lives with stockbreeding, started to deal with leather trade after the immigration. Today they also work in plastic industry. They usually live in an introverted manner. We can attribute this to the fact that Zeytinburnu was a desolate region when they first came comparing today.

There is a very few number of criminal case caused by Turkish immigrants. They continue living their traditions in the Middle Asia. Every year Newroz Festival is celebrated enthusiastically. Weddings are too crowded and colorful. Immigrants with better financial conditions try to provide some aids to their homelands. Even if the amount of these aids does not matter a lot for the states, it represents a great significance among the people.
