Biography:
After his undergraduate studies at Marmara University, he got his master’s degree and proficiency in arts diploma qualification from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. He became associate professor in 2002, and professor in 2009. Since 1991, he has been working as a lecturer in the Photography Department of Mimar Sinan University where he also served as the department head between 2007 and 2013.
Among Şen’s interests are ancient methods of photography and contemporary interpretations, collecting photographs, methods of photography by the people for the people, experimental photography, and photo manipulation. He has published articles about “A-la-minute Photography”, “Amusement Park Photography”, and “Photo Manipulation”. His works have been exhibited in Austria, Sweden, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece and Bulgaria.
